Kennedy's car seat test #1

Look at my little munchkin.

"Can somebody get me out of here please!!!"

Kennedy had her car seat test today. This is a test that they do with preemies. The baby has to be able to sit in the car seat for 1 hour with no apnea/bradychardia spells and no setting off any alarms. The nurses watch the baby's respiratory rate, heart rate and oxygen saturation. The baby must pass the car seat test before they are allowed to go home. Kennedy is just like her big sister Kai...she HATES her car seat. As soon as she realized she wasn't in the crib anymore she started to squirm, grunt and show signs that she was not having any of this car seat business lol! She settled a little after the first few minutes but throughout the test we could tell she wasn't happy. Unfortunately she did not pass the test. She did pretty well but was breathing a little harder than normal and started to desat a little. That's ok though, they will retest again in a couple of days and see if she is ready then.
